Build a life where health feels possible and personal
On 6th July 2026, we held a free workshop for neurodivergent and/or LGBTQ+ adults to discuss what health means to them and how to navigate healthcare systems.
The workshop was facilitated by Rosalind Brooks (Occupational Therapist and Artist) and Frankie Pittwright (Psychotherapist), and funded by The National Lottery’s Community Fund.

My favourite part was…
People who attended the workshop shared what they found most useful.
“…hearing other people’s experiences, drawing, being able to be how I am.”
“…chatting and venting with others and the discussions on different health approaches.”
“…being listened to.”
“…hearing everyone’s experiences – noticing our similarities / differences.”
Resources

Health on your own terms
A gentle resource handbook for neurodivergent and/or LGBTQ+ adults – and community groups and organisations – to explore health in ways that make sense for you.
Drawings
During the workshop, attendees produced drawings to reflect on their experiences of healthcare. These examples have been shared with permission from the people who drew them.
