People who are LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent kept asking us where they could find belonging, safety, and acceptance…
So, in response, we created This is Where: a welcoming community providing safety, belonging, and connection for people who are LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent.

We are a Community Interest Company guided by values of inclusivity, compassion, and empowerment.
We strive to bridge gaps, create opportunities, and inspire a future where everyone is uplifted, affirmed, and equipped to navigate life on their own terms.
We empower people to build resilience and rise above the challenges of marginalisation.
What we do
We address the profound effects of minority stress, marginalisation, and discrimination faced by adults who are neurodivergent and/or LGBTQ+.
These barriers often lead to reduced life chances and poorer mental and physical health outcomes.
We confront these inequities directly to foster resilience, empowerment, and holistic well-being.
How we do it
Resources:
We create materials that educate and empower people about their rights, health, and support.
Signposting:
We connect people with support systems and community networks suited to their unique needs.
Support:
We provide safe spaces for people to share experiences, and build relationships and connections.
Activities:
We deliver therapeutic activities, such as art therapy, to support mental and physical health.
Community:
We organise events that promote inclusivity, celebrate diversity, and strengthen bonds.
Empowerment:
We empower people to rise above challenges and build a life suited to them.
